The top 10 winners from the Project Showcase and Idea Competition at the 4th International Olympiad will receive invitations to participate in this Olympiad.
Robo Tech Valley and Daffodil International University have teamed up to host the 4th International Robo Tech Olympiad, and the 'Smart Cities of Tomorrow' theme is front and center. This issue stands out as having a significant and immediate effect on Bangladesh and the surrounding nations when we consider the objectives and difficulties of the area. Concerns over energy consumption, waste management, and traffic congestion have arisen as a result of the region's rapid urbanization; these issues are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Adopting smart technologies and robots can improve metropolitan areas' resilience, efficiency, and quality of life, leading to more equitable and long-lasting growth. Through its emphasis on smart city solutions, the International Robotics Olympiad 2024 has the potential to ignite creativity, entrepreneurship, and technological progress; it can also facilitate cross-sector collaboration, equip young people to tackle urban issues, and make a positive impact on their local communities and the growth of their surrounding areas.
